Skinless chicken breast | 1 |
Salt and vinegar crisps | 25g bag |
Cheese (I like Cheshire best) | 50g |
Garlic flakes | 1 tsp |
- Preheat the oven to 200˚C / 400˚F / Gas Mark 6
- Open the bag of crisps, then holding the open end together with one hand, crush the crisps with the other. Put the crushed crisps in a bowl.
- Grate the cheese and add it to the crisps. Add the garlic and mix well together
- Grease an oven dish and put the chicken breast in it. Put the crisps and cheese mixture on top, pressing it onto the chicken at first then piling it on top and beside.
- Bake the chicken for 20-25 minutes, or until it is well cooked.
A similar coating that's lower in fat / salt can be made with cornflakes. (Economy cornflakes are best as they tend to be less sweet than brand name cornflakes.)
ReplyDeleteAs in, cheese, garlic granules, and crushed cornflakes. Not cornflakes on their own.
